Career Podium: 

Career Podium is where students and aspiring professionals come to learn about their industry and discover how to get the advantage in their career search. User's can read and learn more about their desired profession through our interviews that we have with business professionals. All of our interviews will be in-depth, and give our user's a chance to get an inside look at our professional's career path from a personal perspective.

 

Mission:

Our mission is to give our members a better understanding about their career and promote the development and growth by giving first hand experience from our career experts.

 

How it works:

Users can view our career insight page and click on the career industry that they are interested in. Once they select a career industry, they can see the career interviews that we have in that industry and view our business professional's path.

 

How we bring insight to our members:

We reach out to people in the business industry and see if they will allow for us to learn more about what they do. If interested, we send our career expert a questionnaire. We give our career experts two options. The first option is having them write out their answer. The second option is to allow for them to answer the questionnaire over the phone. With those answers, we paraphrase what they say and upload their answers onto our database. The questionnaire will include questions that people interested in the field would be curious about.

 

Compliance:

Due to compliance policies with big corporations, we cannot include their company name. As a result, some of our podium will only include the job title to protect our career expert's identity and comply with their firm. Even though some career experts do not have a firm that is public, the Career Podium team will verify their job title. If for any reason a company does not want their name to be on our website, they can send us a message or email us at careerpodiuminfo@gmail.com

• A normal coffee chat takes 30 minutes- 1 hour. By doing this, we save students time. As a college student, it’s tough to allocate time out to meet with someone.
